More for the first episode
Yesterday, Ali and myself covered a few more locations for the first episode. (After I spent like an hour trying to find a parking spot.) We got two locations covered. The first was a restaurant that hopefully turned out well. We did the interview at night and the lighting conditions were horrible for filming. I haven’t had a chance to go over the footage yet. I’m still waiting on my video transfer cord. (Hurry up, Amazon!) The other location we got was of the new dueling piano lounge. The owner’s voice was bad so we weren’t able to do an interview that night, but we got some b-roll footage of the place. After I picked up some shots of the place, Ali led the way around Bricktown and showed me places to that we should feature. We had a fairly productive night despite not being able to do the interview that we had planned.
During this night, I realized how badly I need business cards for the series. A bunch of people kept asking me, “what are you guys filming for?” It would’ve been much easier, quicker, and better to simply say that we’re doing a documentary series and hand them a business card with the web site and a summary about Uncovering Oklahoma. Plus, they would have the card and remember to check out site. For those that asked me last and actually remembered to visit the site, thanks for dropping by. You have a pretty good memory. Be sure to take a look around and check back with us in the future.
Speaking of business cards, I’m going to head now and try to get some printed today for Sunday when I hope to cover a clothing shop for the episode.
