Boasting sold-out shows across the U.S., The Dinner Detective, the nation’s largest interactive murder mystery dinner show made it’s debut in Oklahoma City in early June. This thrilling and hilarious addition to the downtown entertainment scene is offering two Halloween shows where guests can treat themselves to a four-course meal, interactive dinner show, and a unique night of Halloween fun on Saturday October 25th or Friday October 31st.
With origins in improv comic hotbeds like Los Angeles and Chicago, The Dinner Detective begins each show with a cocktail interrogation session. During this time, all of the guests are encouraged to create aliases and back-stories for the evening ahead. Unbeknownst to them, the show has already started.
“The Dinner Detective distinguishes itself by avoiding the clichés of the genre,” says Tavis McLendon, Executive Producer of The Dinner Detective OKC. “We don’t rely on cheesy costumes or obvious characters with funny accents to tell the story. We use the best local improvisers to blend in with the audience, making everyone a potential suspect or victim. This isn’t ‘Clue’, its improvised ‘Law & Order’ meets ‘Saturday Night Live’.”
With new digs at the downtown Sheraton, The Dinner Detective is the perfect night out for couples, birthday parties, holiday parties, corporate events, or just people looking for an alternative form of entertainment. Admission includes a four–course meal, interactive dinner show, prizes and more!
The Dinner Detective specializes in both public and private shows. For the full show schedule and ticket information visit www.dinnerdetective.com.
