A sliver in time and space has opened at Current Studio, where a new installation by artist Erin Shaw illustrates The Stream of Stories. The larger-than-life-sized artwork immerses visitors in an environment reminiscent of a pop-up book, inviting them to become a part of the story.
In this Artist Statement Minute, Erin Shaw talks about the art and the story behind it.
The exhibition opens to the public with Current Thursdays: The Stream of Stories on Thursday, September 8, 6-9 pm. Food is provided by The Wedge Pizzeria. Shaw will give an Artist Talk on Thursday, September 15, 7 pm. Both events are free and open to the public.
The exhibition will also be available for viewing during Sunday Soup on September 25 at 6 pm. This regularly occurring event helps fund upcoming Current Studio projects through a community meal. Sunday Soup is sponsored by Elemental Coffee and Prairie Thunder Baking Company. Reserve your seat with a suggested donation of $10.
