Norman Music Festival continues to bring national acts to the Main Stage in the heart of Downtown Norman. This year, Thee Oh Sees and Oddisee & Good Compny are the main headliners to cap the decade for the free festival on April 27, 28 and 29. Other bands coming to Norman include Israel Nash, Low Cut Connie, GGOOLLDD, DEERPEOPLE, Lincka and The Daddyos.

Garage-rock band Thee Oh Sees is coming in from San Francisco to Oklahoma for the first time in almost five years. The band released their 17th album “A Weird Exits” in August earlier this year through Castle Face Records. Before the end of the year, they will be releasing a companion album, “An Odd Extrances.”

Oddisee is a rapper of Sudanese and African American background from Washington, DC. The influences from his parents’ heritages and hip-hop from his cousins are prominent throughout his music. “The Odd Tape” is his latest piece released in May 2016.

Alternative country artist Israel Nash is headlining the stage at the Depot during the festival. Originally from Missouri, Nash moved to New York where he started his music career. Since then, he has been in heavy rotation with NPR and has been featured in World Café.

As of today, the open-call is now live. Last year, over 700 bands applied to be part of the event. The application will be available until Dec. 15, 2016 at midnight.

The mission of the Norman Music Alliance is to help develop the arts community in Oklahoma through the support of original local artists, support of music fans, support of art education and support of local businesses. What started as a one-day festival has now grown and expanded to a three-day festival with over 350 artists in Norman and over 100,000 people in attendance at Norman Music Festival 9.
