Ladder for the People by doubleVee
Artist Statement: The video was filmed in the lovely mid-century modern home of April, Mike and Lucas Mays in Oklahoma City, with the skillful Dave Smith of Festival City Films handling the bulk of the camerawork. It’s for a song from our upcoming EP “Songs for Birds and Bats.” While the song is open to interpretation, it’s about a man who lives his life like a king until he realizes he’s his own worst enemy. The king is played by renowned architect Mike Mays.
The EP released on April 12th via digital outlets, with limited edition CDs available via doubleVee.net. Buy via Apple Music, Amazon, and Bandcamp for digital music and doubleVee.net for CDs.
