Deep Deuce Sessions is a music-art walk highlighting some of Oklahoma City’s best music artists on stages across the neighborhood the final Saturday of each month.

Walk, dine, drink, and listen your way across venues along 2nd and 3rd streets in the Deep Deuce District to experience hip-hop, singer-songwriter, and pop artists showcased throughout the evening. All doors are open for free to the listening public.

The Summer Breeze Concert Series is a free concert series hosted by The Depot and held in Lions Park at Flood and Symmes. These family-friendly concerts, all beginning at 7:30 pm, have long been a favorite summer music feature in Norman. Bring seating, your favorite refreshments, and enjoy an easy, breezy evening in the park with friends and family, listening to a wonderful variety of wonderful musical groups from across Oklahoma, the US and Canada!

Paseo First Friday @ Paseo Arts District

The Paseo Arts District’s First Friday Gallery Walk features more than 80 artists in more than 25 galleries participating, all within walking distance. Paseo galleries offer special themed exhibits, refreshments, guest artists and a variety of entertainment opportunities. The night typically features four to six Art Opening Receptions to showcase the new work of the gallery/studio owners or the work of guest artists.

Come visit Oklahoma City’s historic arts district to experience dozens of galleries, three restaurants, and a handful of shops stand in distinctive Spanish Mission Revival style buildings, all within a two block distance.

The First Friday Gallery Walk starts on the First Friday of every month at 6 pm and lasts until 10 pm.

2nd Friday Norman Art Walk @ Downtown Norman

The 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk is a monthly, citywide celebration of art in Norman. It’s a collaboration between artists, art organizations, and businesses, brought to you by the Norman Arts Council. All events are free and open to the public from 6pm to 9pm.

The main action happens in Downtown Norman where many of the businesses are having art shows, live music, giveaways, and other fun activities.

Art Walk Tips

  • Pay attention to doors! There are hidden treasures, like Gallery123. On 123 E. Main St. in downtown is a doorway leading upstairs to several small art studios.
  • Come early because it will take time to walk all of Downtown Norman.

  • LIVE on the Plaza @ Plaza District

    Live! on the plaza is the plaza district’s second friday art walk. Each second Friday, Plaza District businesses stay open late with featured artists, live music, special events, local shopping and much more!

    LIVE on the Plaza is presented by Fowler Volkswagen of Norman and Oklahoma Employees Credit Union. Located on the 1700 block of NW 16th, visit the Plaza District during LIVE on the Plaza. Parking in available on street, in Lyric Theatre’s lots in the center of the district and just west of 16th & Indiana. Additional parking can be made in the surrounding neighborhoods.

    LIVE! ON THE PLAZA WILL HAPPEN EVERY 2ND FRIDAY, RAIN OR SHINE. 7PM – 11PM(ISH)

    Beats and Bites @ Riverwind Casino

    The Riverwind Casino presents the monthly music and food truck festival series, Beats and Bites. The free, family-friendly event features a variety of food trucks, vendors, children’s games, beer garden, and live entertainment.

    Held on once a month on Saturdays throughout the summer, Festival Dates for 2018 are June 9, July 7, and August 11.

    Beats and Bites is held on the west end parking lot of Riverwind Casino.

    The festival is free, open to the public and will be held in the casino’s west parking lot from 6 pm to 11 pm. There will be more than a dozen local food truck options and vendors. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and can bring umbrellas. Pets and outside food and beverages are prohibited. The event will be held rain or shine.

    The third annual AMP Festival returns to a new location in Film Row on Saturday, August 25, 2018. AMP (Art, Music, Power) Festival is an outdoor festival celebrating Art & Music created by women and girls. The all-day event will host all-female bands, female-fronted bands and solo performers, movie screenings, as well as a variety of artists/artisans.

    The AMP Festival is an all ages event and is free to the public. Sponsorships will help produce the festival and a portion of the proceeds will go to OKC Rock N Roll Camp For Girls and Oklahoma City Girls Art School.
