In an effort to raise funds and build awareness of the Oklahoma City Girls Art School, and in memory of what was once described as the “Party of the Century,” Lonnie Green, Anita Crites-Milam, and Paula Love will host Oklahoma City’s first Black & White Party in Truman Capote fashion at 7:30 pm on October 20th at DC on Film Row in downtown Oklahoma City. The party will include live music by OKC’s favorite band The Wise Guys, a live auction, raffle and Capote’s signature midnight buffet with dishes of spaghetti, chicken hash, and signature drinks.

Ticket price includes wine and beer, wine pull, raffle, live auction, hors-d’oeuvres, and a midnight buffet in true Capote style.

The Oklahoma City Girls Art School is an after-school visual arts program for at-risk elementary and middle school girls attending school in the Oklahoma City school district. The mission of the Oklahoma City Girls Art School is to empower underserved girls to become successful in life through learning about the arts, artists and the arts community. The ultimate goal of the Oklahoma City Girls Art School is to inspire a love of the arts, an appreciation of creative discipline and process, enabling the girls to be confident, imaginative, tolerant, generous and cooperative, as well as becoming contributing participants in the global art community. Students are encouraged to continue with the program until they graduate from high school.

Tickets for the Black and White Party are $65 online and $75 at the door and are available here. For more information, go to
