Norman Mardi Gras Parade
Rain or shine, the Norman Mardi Gras Parade has been going for over 20 years. The 23rd Annual Norman Mardi Gras Parade will be on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Downtown Norman from 7-9 pm. It is Norman’s only night parade and Oklahoma’s original mardi gras parade. The 2017 theme is “Light It Up!” The parade is family friendly and bands are highly encouraged to participate! The event will roll in cold weather and is still expected to have over 4,000 spectators downtown to enjoy the fun.
Registrations for floats are due February 23rd.
Royalty this year is Rebecca Bean and Matthew Clinton of STASH.
The parade runs in circles. It starts from Jones at Main, East to Crawford, Commanche, then Jones and circles twice.
The Award Party will be held at Puebla (305 E. Main, Norman).

The 6th Annual Zydeco Gumbo Cookoff fundraiser will be on February 4th from 6-9pm at Scratch (428 E. Main, Norman). Anyone can enter at no cost! Admission is $15 at the door for Gumbo, band, and refreshments. For more information and to enter the cookoff, visit normanmardigrasparade.com
