Kendall’s Restaurant is one of those small town restaurants with a reputation that reaches around the state. South of Norman in the town of Noble, Kendall’s Restaurant (100 S Main St, Noble) is known for their homestyle cooking, generous portion sizes, and friendly service. Feeling extra hungry? Try Kendall’s $25 Chicken Fry Challenge! To complete the challenge you must eat a fresh dinner salad, a plater-sized chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes or fries, green beans, a biscuit, and Kendall’s delectable cinnamon rolls! Only an hour is given to complete the challenge and it has to be started before 7:00 PM. Winners get a t-shirt, a free meal, and gloating privileges (yeah, you’ll have street cred).
If you don’t think you are hungry enough to complete the Chicken Fry Challenge, you should know that even the regular chicken fried steak meal, pictured above, is a feast in of itself. Bring your appetites!
Walking into Kendall’s for the first time can be a bit of a surprise. While it appears to be tiny from the outside, that’s not the case inside (can you say “Tardis?”). The American diner itself is filled with eclectic memorabilia ranging from autographed guitars, celebrity photos, state trivia and history, and articles about the restaurant itself.
If you decide to make the trip to Kendall’s Restaurant, bring cash: They do not accept credit or debit cards.
