Syrup Breakfast Boutique on UrbanspoonIt’s a new year and the year should start right with a good breakfast. After all, breakfast is the most important meal and, some would argue, the most delicious. The boutique atmosphere of Syrup. compliments the food that’s both filling and beautiful. It’s one of our favorite restaurants for breakfast, and also where we like to take out of town guests to show off the unique vibe of Downtown Norman.

One of the house specialities is the Eggs Benedict. Syrup makes their Eggs Benedict with butter toasted english muffins topped with poached egg, hearty bacon, avocado, and Hollandaise sauce.

Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
For something on the sweet side, I recommend the Cinnamon Roll pancakes. Generously sized, warm and gooey, like your favorite cinnamon rolls, but in pancake form! Mind blowing, huh?

While Syrup is renown for their breakfast, they also serve lunch. Their menu features a selection of fresh soup and sandwiches that change seasonally.

This “breakfast boutique” is not just about providing locals with delicious food. Profits from the restaurant are donated to help others. You can learn more about their projects by reading the back of the menu or by visiting their website.

Breakfast at Syrup
For those of you looking for a shot of wake-up in a cup, Syrup features Stumptown Coffee, which is super strong and hot. They also have a selection of expresso drinks, if you you are more in the mood for a mocha or cappuccino instead.

For a fancy breakfast or tasty lunch, Syrup is worth waking up early to beat the crowd.
