According to Urbanspoon, there are less than 10 German Restaurants in the Greater Oklahoma City Metro. One of the finer ones–complete with its own brewery–is Royal Bavaria tucked away in Moore. What makes Royal Bavaria special is how much authentication is put into the place. From the beers to the uniforms of the staff, Royal Bavaria hits the authentication mark rather delightfully.
Royal Bavaria is famous for their brewed fresh beers, which they say are most of their ingredients are imported from Germany and water is from their own well. I recommend starting with the sampler flight of four beers in 3oz glasses to find a favorite drink. If you really love their handcrafted beer, they’ve available in kegs.
Many of the dishes are German specialties. The sausage sampler is a safe bet with a variety of four sausages and served with German sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
Be sure to save room for one of their desserts. I honestly can’t remember the name of what we got, but the group loved it. For a type of place there are few of, Royal Bavaria stands out.
