The public can now indulge in the world of floral design under the guidance of The Fleuriste’s team at their new space off N. Western Ave. and 82nd St. Starting this spring, The Fleuriste will host up to three Flower School classes a month. Each class has its own distinctive theme where participants learn how to build floral designs using the modern design principles that make up The Fleuriste’s signature style.

“These are just as much a social night out where we have fun, enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres. And of course you keep what you create.”“Don’t let the word “classes” scare you off. These are just as much a social night out where we have fun, enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres. And of course you keep what you create,” said George Catechis, Creative Director and Master Florist, The Fleuriste. Individual classes cost $100, or sign up for a series of classes and receive a discount. Space is limited and classes fill up quickly, so participants are encouraged to register online at thefleuriste.com or by calling 405-843-8700. Classes are also available for private parties and corporate events for a minimum of 10 people.

The Fleuriste closed its original storefront in March and moved into a new space that includes two 5,000 square foot buildings, the House of Design and the House of Details. “Here we finally have the room to have classes where each person gets their own table and I can show them intricately how to do design, and let them be in command of their creation,” said Catechis. The new space also allowed The Fleuriste to expand on its passions and fully realize its potential of creating world-class floral experiences for clients of any size. The public is always welcome to stop in for cash-and-carry orchids or to visit its new succulent bar, though individual deliveries are no longer available.
