I’ve rounded up several Mother’s Day Events for Moms to enjoy throughout the Oklahoma City Metro. Keep in mind not all events take place on Sunday, May, 2015.
Love Mom Well: Collected Tread will host the 2nd Annual Love Mom Well evening on Friday, May 8th. To honor all of you moms and moms to be out there they’re joining forces with local businesses. Here is what is happening:

Moms Eat Free at Billy Sims BBQ: This Mother’s Day, fast-casual BBQ chain Billy Sims BBQ is saying thank you to moms everywhere by offering a free combo meal to all mothers. Moms who dine in at any Billy Sims BBQ restaurant on Sunday, May 10th will receive a free single-meat sandwich, a side and a drink.
“Moms show love to their families in many ways, including through food,” said Jeff Jackson, co-founder of Billy Sims BBQ. “We thought offering them a meal for a change would be a great way to show appreciation for all they do. It was important to us that Billy Sims BBQ do its part to make Mother’s Day special for all the moms in our communities.”
Moms can choose from seven sandwiches (brisket, pulled pork, chicken, turkey bologna, Polish sausage or hot link) all featuring freshly sliced meat smoked daily over pecan wood. Side choices include potato salad, freshly smoked corn-on-the-cob, coleslaw, mac n cheese, baked beans, and green beans.

Energy FC to celebrate Soccer Moms: Oklahoma City Energy FC celebrates Soccer Moms at its next home game against L.A. Galaxy II at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 at Taft Stadium, located at NW 27th Street and May Avenue.
The pre-Mother’s Day celebration includes special treats for soccer-loving Moms in attendance, a “Kiss Your Mom on the Cheek” cam, a special half-time tribute and a family 4-pack tickets deal for $69 that includes a $20 food credit.
“We want to honor the Moms who are helping grow the sport of soccer in Oklahoma by devoting their time and energy to supporting players and coaches in the recreational youth leagues, the competitive traveling teams and our own Energy FC players,” Energy FC General Manager Jason Hawkins said. “Soccer Moms are the glue that holds everything together and they should be recognized for their contributions to the sport.”
