Dream Portal Productions presents TALOA Music Festival September 25-27, 2015, in Guthrie, OK. The all-ages festival will take place in Downtown Guthrie, moving away from the originally planned Cottonwood Flats. TALOA taps an eclectic blend of down tempo, electro, funk, soul, jazz, hip-hop, bluegrass and folk (new grass), blues-rock and red dirt stylings that will please the musical palates of multiple generations.
TALOA producers, in part with the City of Guthrie and the town’s local business leaders, have mutually agreed to move the festival from the Cottonwood Flats to historic downtown Guthrie. “Downtown is the soul of Guthrie, and we decided that moving the stages will enable a stronger community collaboration and a more dynamic festival experience.” said Nathan Trotter, Founder and Executive Producer, TALOA Music Festival.
Established artists like Jeff Austin Band, Andy Frasco & the U.N., The Damn Quails and The Werks capture root-based sounds, while artists like Late Night Radio, Krooked Drivers, Eliot Lipp and Resonant Frequency deliver exciting, original compositions that have captivated the attention of music lovers worldwide. TALOA rounds out the lineup with fan favorites: theNEWDEAL, Random Rab, Marco Benevento and Zoogma. Additional announcements will be made periodically to highlight other surprise artists in the lineup. In the meantime, concert enthusiasts are encouraged to let their minds run wild – TALOA producers have promised multiple unexpected collaborations!

TALOA will also feature activities such as a national Spikeball tournament, which is an increasingly popular game.
TALOA has a variety of community-based, goodwill efforts in the works for the City of Guthrie, including a book drive, food drive and musical instrument donation station. “The core value of our production efforts is to improve local communities. In the second round of artist updates, TALOA Music Festival has announced 36 additional artists for its lineup. Leading the pack, legendary rock and roll Hall of Famer and native Oklahoman Leon Russell takes the stage Friday, September 25. Russell has played pop, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, country, gospel, standards, and surf records over the span of his 50-year career. He has collaborated with hundreds of artists, including George Harrison, Sir Elton John, Glen Campbell, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and Frank Sinatra.
A special surprise for string music fans, Drew Emmitt Band with members of Leftover Salmon and The Travelin’ McCourys are launching a new blended project called Leftover McCoury Jam. They will play their first set together at TALOA.
The self-described heavy instrumental, rock-fusion band from New York, TAUK, joins red-hot artists SunSquabi and Vibe Street, while the culture-crossing, downtempo sounds of internationally acclaimed Desert Dwellers bring their signature aesthetic.
The second wave of artists announced include: Leon Russell, Leftover McCoury Jam, Travelin’ McCourys, Drew Emmitt Band with members of Leftover Salmon, SunSquabi, TAUK, Nadis Warriors, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, Mingo Fishtrap, Vibe Street, Steepwater Band, The Congress, Dreamers Delight, Jahman Brahman, Blunt Force, Unlimited Gravity, Project Aspect, Proper Motion, SoDown, Tnertle, Lily Fangz, Kruza Kid, JJ Evanoff Experience, Spankalicious, WillDaBeast, Greenhouse Lounge, Cream Cheese Incident, Stratosphere, Fractal Sky, Ageless Beats, NicNos, Whetherman, Homemade Spaceship, Collidoscope, and Wet Paint.
Festival attendees can take advantage of the Early Bird Special now through May 18 at TALOAfestival.com: a three-day General Admission pass costs $69 and VIP passes are $199. Camping passes start at $25 and are available for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.
