16 Oklahoma State Fair Foods to Try
There’s a great deal of food at the Oklahoma State Fair this year with over 20 new items to the Fair Food line-up and if you are into delicious deep-fried, chocolate-covered or on-a-stick treats, then there’s only one place to be September 15th through the 25th. I’ve rounded up 16 foods for you to try this year, focusing on the new foods with some classics included.
For something HOT, stop at Chef Rays Street Eats for their Nashville Hot Fried Chicken is deep-fried and rolled in a hot Nashville wing sauce that will make your taste buds sweat. As usual from my experiences with Chef Rays, their chicken is delicious.
The Sweet Shop has outdone themselves with two new cinnamon rolls. On the left is the Oreo Cinnamon Roll, which is an Oreo infused, and covered, Cinnamon Roll. The other new roll is the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Cinnamon Roll.
The J-shaped cone at WonderStick Ice Cream is unique in its shape, making it easier to eat without potential drips. The cone is gluten free, thick and crunchy, and doesn’t get soggy as the ice cream melts. The cone comes in two flavors: plain and cinnamon. This guy was kind enough to let me take his picture before he enjoyed it.
To stay up-to-date on all the Fair Fun, visit www.okstatefair.com, find them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter and Instagram, and download the official Oklahoma State Fair Mobile App – available in the App Store and Google Play Store. The app is great to guide you to various places. I personally used it to track down all of the new food for this article.
Have a great deal of fun at the Oklahoma State Fair!
