Shopping Guide to Automobile Alley

With the upcoming holiday shopping season and the release of my movie, District Up!, I’m publishing a series of gift guide articles on district shopping. This shopping guide on the Automobile Alley was written for those looking for special gifts, who don’t want to deal with the malls, and have suggestions for multiple ideas within an area. Plus, if you get hungry while shopping, Automobile Alley has plenty of places to eat.

Perch’d got creative with this display titled “Black Friday.” Perch’d focuses on modern accessories and home goods inside a shipping container.

Good vibes only at Shop Good. No matter what you buy at Shop Good, a portion of your sale supports a deserving effort to strengthen communities and meet real needs both here in Oklahoma City and around the world. The photo above highlights their fall collection of shirts, hats, and candles. I personally own a few shirts from Shop Good.

For Sara Kate Studios, I’m going to share this piece of their story:

“We love the unusual and the storied: pieces that harken back to another time — items that say, “I’ve had a little adventure.” We believe in a mix of high and low, and investment pieces that become those family favorites to be passed down for years to come. We live by the mantra of a certain kind of minimalism: only surround yourself with the things and people you love.”

The goal of Urbane is to provide what you need to create a considered lifestyle for your home with a mix of home furnishings, decor, barware, serveware, and more. The photo highlights their offerings to make you and your home smell great. If you need a coffee boost, Coffee Slingers is next door.

The West is still alive at Rawhide. If you have someone on your gift list whose into the western style, a visit at Rawhide is a must.

Plenty - photo by Dennis Spielman

807 N. Broadway Aveune, Oklahoma City
There are plenty of good gifts to find at Plenty Mercantile. I can say plenty of nice things about them, including putting up with the puns. The purpose of Plenty Mercantile “is to provide life and style products that convey a strong sense of origin, process, and authenticity.” Everything there will in some way to improve the quality of your life or your pets.

Bluewater Divers - photo by Dennis Spielman

718 N. Broadway Aveune, Oklahoma City
Know someone who is looking to dive into a new hobby or already a sucba driver? Bluewater Divers has gear for all skill sets and all types of underwater explorers. PADI Scuba Classes are offered year round from beginners to instructors and everything in-between.

Waters Edge Winery - photo by Dennis Spielman

712 N. Broadway Aveune, Oklahoma City
Down from Bluewater Divers is the local wine maker, Waters Edge Winery. Not only can you buy wine, but they have wine flavored ice cream, custom label design, and offer classes to make your own wine. I would like to note that each private vintage makes approximately 25-27 bottles and takes 5 to 7 seven weeks to complete so you may not want to go that route for the holidays. However, you can do a custom label, which has a turnaround time of 72 hours.

Bow & Arrow - photo by Dennis Spielman

617 N. Broadway Aveune, Oklahoma City
While Bow & Arrow has nothing to do with bows and/or arrows, they are a trendy, affordable, contemparory women’s clothing boutique. With prices listed $100 and under, the store appeals to the modern women on a budget, who still wants the high fashion trends.

This is only a sample offering of what can be found in Automobile Alley. Learn more about the district at
