Mexico by Husbands

Artist Statement: Last summer, I moved to Costa Rica on this ridiculous housesitting job where I ended up working a little bit but mostly surfed and played poker with locals. It was the best time of our lives, but it wrecked us. When I eventually moved back to OKC and settled back into my cubicle, I started to feel disillusioned about days spent working 9-5s with no end in sight. “Mexico” is an escapist fantasy love song dedicated to the dream of moving to a coastal town: to be poor and happy together. Let’s move to Mexico, baby.

Green Light by Gospel Lee

Artist Statement: Tulsa based hip-hop artist Gospel Lee is smashing into fall with his newest single “Green Light.” Wayne Klassik is responsible cosmic extra terrestrial trap vibe as he functions as the producer on this track.

“This song is an anthem to remind the listener to stop asking for permission, or a co-sign to be great, when you’ve already been the green light to be great.” Lee expounds. “I’ve faced an incredible amount of rejection in my musical career, so this song is a continual wakeup call to stop begging for a seat at the table, and to go out and build one of your own. When you realize no one and nothing can stop you. Nothing will.”

Gospel Lee is a positive, inspirational, Hip-Hop artist who believes in bringing light to dark places based in Tulsa, OK.
