In this Artist Statement Minute, Christie Owen talks about the group of artists she invited to Verbode’s first exhibition for 2020 who are actively making our city a super cool place through various creative channels.
Viewers can enjoy Jack Fowler’s color-block landscapes and portraits to Tanner Frady’s hand-lettered and meticulously painted signs. Clint Stone has paintings highlighting the city’s favorite districts. There are mixed media paintings from Cread Bayliss that echo a counter-culture vibe while Ashley Dawn’s work revels in a flashy tattoo style. This show is a celebration of Oklahoma City’s edgy urban side.
