I’ve rounded up the best of the best Father’s Day Events for Dads to enjoy throughout Oklahoma. Keep in mind not all events take place on Sunday, June 17, 2018.
WHERE: Myriad Botanical Gardens
301 West Reno, Oklahoma City
WHEN: Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
The 2018 Sunday Twilight Concert Series will take place at Myriad Gardens Great Lawn Stage. The concerts will take place from 7:30 to 9 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and picnics; however pets, smoking and glass containers are prohibited. On Sunday, June 17th for Father’s Day will be Spaghetti Eddie.
WHERE: RIVERSPORT Adventure Park
WHEN: Sunday, June 17, 2018
Bring dad to RIVERSPORT Adventure Park in downtown Oklahoma City’s Boathouse District for a fun-filled Father’s Day. Buy one day pass on Sunday, June 17 and dad gets to play for free – or show dad you really care with a season pass for a whole summer of adventure!
“RIVERSPORT offers a unique way to go for less screen time and more outdoor time,” said Mike Knopp, executive director. “Since we have something for every age, it works for the entire family.”
RIVERSPORT offers a youth zone and youth pricing for families with youth ages 7 and under, and kids ages 5 and younger are free.
Families with kids ages 8+ can explore the six-story Sky Trail ropes course, the zip line across the Oklahoma River, high speed slides, climbing walls, bicycle pump tracks and more, including whitewater rafting in RIVERSPORT Rapids.
Big Water Grill will open throughout the day with a new “dad-worthy” menu including salads, a BBQ basket, burgers and homemade pie, along with soft drinks, wine, and beer selections. As a special celebration of fathers, Big Water Grill will be offering a free meal for dad with the purchase of a kid’s meal or entrée all day.
These places are offering free or discounted admission for Fathers on Sunday. All you need, in most cases, is one paid admission with a family member! Check with each one for details.
