Center of the Universe

Journeying to the Center of the Universe is closer than you think since it’s located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In downtown, there is pedestrian overpass along Boston Ave between 1st and Archer street. Coming from either side of this railroad overpass, you can follow a brick path that goes to a brick circle that is located directly over the tracks. The closest address is 50 S. Boston Ave, Tulsa.

When a person stands in the center, whatever they say, they will personally hear it echo while everyone around won’t hear the echo. This cool effect works best when there are no trains passing below. The Center of the Universe a fun stop if you’re on a date or with some friends in Downtown Tulsa.

Several feet southwest of the Center of the Universe stands the “Artificial Cloud.” Native American artist Robert Haozous created the seventy-two and one-half feet tall sculpture for the 1991 Mayfest.

Worth Noting: just north of the Center of the Universe is the Brady Arts District, which has art galleries, the Brady Theater, Cain’s Ballroom, and more to do in the area.

The Center of the Universe is marked by a worn concrete circle, approximately thirty inches in diameter, within the middle of another circle made up of thirteen bricks. Overall, the center is a little more than eight feet in diameter. When a person stands in the center, somehow whatever they say they will hear it echo while everyone around won’t hear the echo. One may even list it as Real Life Things That Would Be Easter Eggs in a Video Game.
